Cancellation policy

Cancel any time before 24 hours of stay and $10.00 cancellation fee will apply. Cancel within the 24 hour period and full charge is applied unless we are able to sell your accommodation unit or site. Receptions hours 8:00am-9:00pm.

Location map

The seaside town of Timaru is the regional centre of South Canterbury on State Highway 1, midway between Christchurch and Dunedin, on the East Coast of New Zealand's South Island. TIMARU TOP 10 is just minutes from the sparkling Pacific Ocean, Timaru TOP 10 offers superb sheltered facilities in its spacious park grounds. Supermarkets, dining, recreational walks, shopping, golf course, public art gallery, swimming pool and the main street are all within walking distance. Timaru City is the urban heart for the whole region and is a perfect base location for making short excursions to many local inland attractions and townships while travelling the scenic highways between Christchurch, Mt Cook, Queenstown & Dunedin.

Transport

Timaru is located on State Highway One (SH1), the main road route down the eastern coast of the South Island. There are regular coach and minibus services to Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill, Queenstown and the Mackenzie Country, leaving from outside the Visitor Information Centre, which provides booking facilities and other travel services. The Main South Line section of the South Island Main Trunk Railway runs through Timaru and is a significant freight corridor. Passenger rail services were discontinued after the cancellation of the Southerner in February 2002. Between 1949 and 1970, Timaru was serviced by the South Island Limited, one of the former New Zealand Railways Department's most prestigious trains.

Richard Pearse Airport is located to the north of the city and is only 8 km from the central business area, the airport is within easy commuting distance of Timaru It is equipped to handle light aircraft and short haul domestic flights, with regular services to Wellington. The region is within 2 hours easy travel by road to two international airports, Christchurch and Dunedin.

A number of bus services connect Timaru's suburbs to the town centre such as: Atomic Shuttles, Knightrider Bus Services, Budget Buses, Intercity Coachlines, Southernlink. For more information on transport visit the Timaru Information Centre.

Getting there - from North of Timaru

(Christchurch, Ashburton) SH 8 (Lake Tekapo, Farlie). Travel into Timaru on SH1. After the first set of traffic lights, turn right into Hobbs Street beside the Pak'n'Save Supermarket. Travel 500m up Hobbs Street to the end. Our entrance is directly ahead across Selwyn Street.

Getting there - from South of Timaru

(Dundein, Oamaru). Stay on SH1, Travel 1.6km norht of the town centre. On the norths side of Pak'n'Save Supermerket turn left into Hobbs St. Travel 500m up Hobbs Street to the end. Our entrance is directly ahead across Selwyn Street.
